Register Online- Admission Process

 We are always excited when a prospective student considers Johannesburg Polytechnic.  JP is a great place to continue your education! The lecturers and staff at JP are both knowledgeable and caring. In addition, we offer a number of Diploma and Certificate programs which can meet your educational as well as your professional career progression

In order to be considered for admission, first-time students must submit an application form. Before filling in this form make sure you have the following handy:

  • R200.00 Non-Refundable Application Fee (South African/Permanent Residents and Refugees/Asylum Seekers) or R1000.00 for International Students. No Application will be processed without the Application fee.

  • Copy and original Senior Certificate/Secondary /high school/University Education Certificates.

  • Recent Passport size photo

  • A copy and original Identity Document (SA ID) or Passport/ Resident Permit for Asylum Seekers or Refugees

  • Proof that you will be able to pay your full college fees (personal finances/sponsorship or full scholarship)

  • INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS MUST PAY FULL TUITION FEES IN ADVANCE BEFORE ADMISSION LETTERS ARE PROCESSED

  • NB: Registration with Johannesburg Polytechnic does not guarantee registration with the relevant examination body. We ONLY offer TUITION  and it is your responsibility to register and pay all the relevant fees with external examination bodies.

  • Make sure you are legible to undertake the course you have selected before embarking on studying and payments of the necessary fees. We will not be held responsible for refusal to undertake examinations due to ineligibility or failure to meet pre-requisite qualifications before registering for either June or December Examinations with External Examiners.

  • Please visit the relevant websites (CIMA, ACCA) for information on Examination Calendar as well as any other information governing student registration cut off dates.

International Students-Johannesburg Polytechnic International Office

The Johannesburg Polytechnic International Office provides services to students and visiting scholars at Johannesburg Polytechnic. Our staff assists with problems related to your immigration, medical aid cover, social and personal adjustment to a new culture and practical matters related to your stay in South Africa.

We also provide you with an orientation in February/June to the college community and the city of Johannesburg as well as give you informational materials.
