The International Office is dedicated to furthering the internationalization of the Johannesburg Polytechnic. With the well-being of the colleges' International community as its central focus, the International Office is engaged in the enhancement of diversity, international co-operation and understanding among the people of our continent and indeed the world. International students are an important part of the student community at Johannesburg Polytechnic and the International Office is dedicated to supporting them from the time of their arrival at the college and throughout the period of their study programme.

Services provided:

• An orientation programme to introduce new students to the academic environment, college services and other students, providing the essential first step to life at the Polytechnic.

• Liaison with Polytechnic faculties and departments to maximize opportunities for success.

• Information and assistance with medical aid cover and study permits

• An emergency contact point for parents and family trying to reach students

• Cultural events allowing international students an opportunity to share cultural experiences with South African students.
